The Brilliant and Resilient photo exhibit has returned home from its latest journey!

Between September 2015 and January 2016, the global health insurance service company Cigna displayed these 30 powerful portraits and vignettes of disabled women leaders at several of their offices throughout the U.S. in order to highlight the company's focus on fostering a diverse workforce and connectedness to its diverse customer population.

The first stop on the exhibit's journey was Cigna's Bloomfield, Connecticut campus. At the inaugural launch event, a full room of Cigna employees, leaders, and others heard from disability rights advocate and Disability Advisor to the World Bank Charlotte McClain-Nhlapo, who shared her personal story as a woman with a disability and her history of supporting MIUSA.

Sheila McGinley, one of the Cigna leaders who spoke, remarked on the ability of the exhibit to highlight the strength of women with disabilities confrontinging discrimination and working to improve the lives of women and girls with disabilites around the globe.

"I came away from this event with a new found perspective on what leadership by women can achieve.”

We thank ‪Cigna for bringing the exhibit to new frontiers. Stay tuned for more ‪‎Brilliant and Resilient‬ updates to come, and find out how you can host the Brilliant and Resilient photo exhibit!
