As a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), the Fulbright Program is committed to ensuring that its efforts reflect the diversity of U.S. society and societies abroad. Fulbright programs are administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) on behalf of the State Department and provide grants to study, teach, and conduct research to U.S. citizens to go abroad and for non-U.S. citizens to come to the United States. The Fulbright Program is active in more than 160 countries.

Additionally, attendees heard from a U.S. Fulbright alumni with disabilities about how his experience has impacted his personal and professional life.
