History and Overview


MIUSA pioneered inclusive short-term international exchange programs in the United States and abroad beginning in 1981 and has worked with over 2000 alumni with and without disabilities from over 100 countries since then.

Each year our programs change. If we have open applications, these are usually posted in November through March. Our National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange can also guide you on finding other international opportunities.
