Our CEO, Dr. Susan Sygall, taught a summer weekend course on August 11 and 12, 2012, called “Global Perspectives on Disability,” sponsored by the University of Oregon International Studies and Special Education departments.

The women were guest speakers during the class. The course examined global perspectives on disability through readings, videos and in-person interviews. Topics include: Using a gender and human rights lens, international disability rights laws, and inclusive international development.

Are you interested in doing a similar course at your university as part of the international studies department? We want to see all people who are going into international affairs, international development or international education to know about disability inclusion. Contact us at development@miusa.org.
