MIUSA Staff Presents on Including People with Disabilities in Emergency Response Programming

— filed under:

Gender, Disability, and Disaster Response: In September, MIUSA Project Specialist Susan Dunn traveled to Guatemala City to present on the steps needed to make emergency response programming inclusive of people with disabilities at the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Workshop on Gender, Vulnerable Populations and Disasters in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The workshop gathered humanitarian assistance agencies, donors, governments and emergency response actors and was part of IOM’s preparations for the IV International Summit on Gender and Disasters, 2011.
