- This study shows participants with disabilities from Swaziland were less well informed about HIV/AIDS, listing many more incorrect modes of transmission than their non-disabled peers. The study also poses that HIV awareness programmes need to ensure information reaches people with disabilities by working with disabled people’s organizations and by adapting education materials.

- The World Bank has released a new handbook compiled by Handicap International (HI) and Christian Blind Mission (CBM) on "Making PRSP inclusive". The handbook presents background information and guidelines for key stakeholders on disability and development such as governments, UN agencies, Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs), Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) and facilitate that people with disabilities may enter and participate in national Poverty Reduction Strategy processes (PRSP). This resource also includes a toolbox for making PRSP inclusive.
