Accessibility Checklist for Existing Facilities: MIUSAThe following checklist provides a tool for analyzing whether or not a program or facility is accessible. Checklist for Inclusion: MIUSAMIUSA created the Checklist for Inclusion as a simple self-assessment guide for organizations on the inclusion of people with disabilities. The Checklist for Inclusion provides a template for InterAction member organizations to assess compliance with the PVO Standards on Disability, in areas of governance, administration and programs. However, this resource also serves other organizations that are looking to be inclusive of people with disabilities. Gender Handbook in Humanitarian Action: Inter-Agency Standing CommitteePublished by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) in December of 2006, this handbook was developed for field practitioners responding to humanitarian emergencies that result from conflict or natural hazards. The book contatins several useful action plans and checklists to assist practitioners in identifying and addressing the different needs, abilities and contributions of all members of the community, including people with disabilities. The handbook also provides guidance on how to analyze the situation from a gender perspective, implement gender-aware activities and measure effectiveness. Inclusive Project Management Guide: Christian Blind MissionA practical guide to Inclusive Project Management by the Christian Blind Mission (CBM). The manual aims to support the inclusion of the perspectives of Persons with Disabilities throughout the Project Management Cycle, from programming through to evaluation. Make Development Inclusive: International Disability and Development Consortium and CBMSupported by the European Commission (EC), the International Development and Disability Consortium (IDDC) and CBM published a manual in 2008 on how to include the perspectives of persons with disabilities in the project cycle management guidelines of the EC. Making PRSP Inclusive: Christian Blind Mission and Handicap InternationalThe World Bank has released a new handbook compiled by Handicap International (HI) and Christian Blind Mission (CBM) on "Making PRSP inclusive". The handbook presents background information and guidelines for key stakeholders on disability and development such as governments, UN agencies, Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs), Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) and facilitate that people with disabilities may enter and participate in national Poverty Reduction Strategy processes (PRSP). This resource also includes a toolbox for making PRSP inclusive. Manual on Building an Inclusive Development Community: MIUSAA “toolkit” for development agencies and others concerned with the inclusion of people with disabilities at all levels and in all areas of the international development. Toolkit on Mainstreaming Disability: ECAMATThis toolkit includes a framework for planning, developing and implementing disability mainstreamed policy, a checklist for assessing the mainstreaming of disability in laws, policies and programs, and advocacy guidelines to promote effective compliance on mainstreaming policy and practice.
