Spotlight on New Projects

Each year the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange has new initiatives to further promote international exchange opportunities to people with disabilities and to develop the information needed for successful and inclusive participation. Read more about this year's spotlighted projects.

 

Resources on how special education teachers, transition and VR specialists and parents of youth with disabilities can encourage high school students to explore overseas opportunities, both broadening their interests in other cultures and their future career options. Also how they can welcome and work with international youth with disabilities hosted in their home communities.

Promoting and providing equal access for people with disabilities to U.S. Department of State's Fulbright scholarships to study, teach, conduct research or participate in other professional, cultural and educational activities internationally.

 

Disability and exchange resources for athletes and would-be athletes of all levels with disabilities who would like to turn their love of sports into a life-changing international experience.

Information on disability and foreign language learning, links to scholarships and programs to take critical need language courses abroad, and other resources.
