Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program for professionals

Humphrey logoThis nine-month program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education. It provides mid-career professionals with an opportunity to enhance their professional skills though graduate level coursework and professional affiliations at institutions throughout the United  States. People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI)

U.S. Business Internship Program for Young Middle Eastern Women

Middle East Partnership InitiativeThe Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) U.S. Business Internship Program for Young Middle Eastern Women will provide participants unique opportunities to learn management and business skills while working in the dynamic and productive U.S. business environment. The program will consist of a four-week interdisciplinary academic program, including coursework in management, finance, business strategy and information technology, followed by a three or six-month management internship, depending on their professional background, or three month entry-level internships with American corporations. The program will cover international and domestic travel, health insurance, housing and a living stipend in the U.S.

Middle East Entrepreneur Training in the U.S. (MEET U.S.)

The MEET U.S. program provides skills training, professional networking, and alumni support systems to increase the managerial and entrepreneurial leadership skills for growing companies. The program’s goal is to help promising executives, managers and entrepreneurs realize their aspirations to build successful, growing enterprises that will contribute to economic growth and community well being in the MENA region. The participation of women and people with disabilities in the program is highly encouraged.

Fulbright Programs for Professionals, Teachers and Scholars

Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program(FLTA)

Applicants must be English language teachers or currently in training to become an English language teacher and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to English language teaching upon return to Indonesia following the award.  The program is for one academic year (9 months) and requires the grantee to teach in the U.S. for 20 hours per week and to enroll in at least two U.S. Studies and/or ESL methodology classes per semester under a full tuition waiver

Fulbright Senior Research Program

This research grant is for non-American scholars who have a doctoral degree or equivalent professional qualifications. The grant affords scholars the opportunity to conduct research in the U.S. for a period of three to six months. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate sufficient English language proficiency to conduct research in the U.S.

Fulbright Visiting Specialist Program

The Fulbright Visiting Specialists Program provides grants of between two and six weeks for non-American scholars and professionals to enrich understanding and knowledge of their society and culture at American institutions.  Fulbright Visiting Specialists will engage institutions and communities to promote dialogue, learning, and mutual understanding and to develop continuing courses/programs, exchange activities and promote institutional relationships. Activities will be carried out in colleges, universities and local communities.  The Visiting Specialists may present lectures or short courses, team-teach with American colleagues, or assist in program and curriculum development in colleges and universities.  They will also participate in public outreach programs by speaking to community groups, service clubs, religious, and school groups.  Participants may be in fields of: arts, business, communications/journalism, education, environmental sciences, humanities, law, library science, public health, social sciences, or urban planning.
