Share Your International Experience Join MIUSA's Peer-to-Peer Network
The goal of the peer-to-peer network is to link people with disabilities who have participated in any kind of international exchange program with people who are interested in work,study, volunteer or research abroad. As a seasoned international exchange participant,you have gained valuable experience that other people with disabilities can benefit from. Peers from around the world who participate in this network will make themselves available to share their insights and tips both with people with disabilities and with exchange professionals working with or preparing for disabled participants.
People connecting with peers in the network may have questions about:
- Accessibility and services in the country you spent time in (or live in if you were an international student coming to the US).
- Cultural perceptions about disability.
- Personal experiences and insights gained from your international experience.
Your participation in the peer-to-peer network,whether you participated in a MIUSA exchange or one of many other international exchange programs,will serve to inspire and motivate others who are interested in participating in an international exchange.
