DeafBlind Traveler and Volunteer Touches the Developing World

Christine Roschaert volunteered in Nigeria for a year as part of the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) organization, and has since been traveling throughout Oceania and Asia.
A nomad with a purpose, Christine (aka Coco) has always kept an online blog "Tactile the World" on Deaf-Blindness. Here, she writes about her 16-month volunteer experience in Abuja, Nigeria through Voluntary Service Overseas and her travels following her volunteer service. Christine, who has Usher syndrome, networks with the Deaf communities in the countries she visits, whether learning New Zealand Sign Language or giving workshops on disability in Cambodia.
