Accessible Everything: An accessible & inclusive travel blog for people with disabilities

by Michele Scheib last modified June 12, 2008 12:51

Craig moved to Barcelona and taught English as a Second Language for several months. During this time and later, he traveled independently to other countries and records his experiences here as a wheelchair user.

When Craig traveled independently in Germany for over a month going from town to town by train, he encountered some difficulties in Berlin due to the lack of information for disabled travelers, such as accessibility in museums, hotels and restaurants. When he returned to Barcelona he decided to help people with disabilities that wanted to visit the city by writing a short access guide called, AccessibleBarcelona, which is now available online. Craig is now in Nicaragua and blogs about his experiences both in Nicaragua and travels to other countries. So far Craig has visited more than 17 countries, and also has an AccessibleNicaragua article on his blog.

His current projects include  investing in sustainable inclusive tourism for people with disabilities and also in the local disability community. He is also working with a few people with disabilities to promote the sale of their artwork overseas for example.
