Colleague to Colleague network

by admin last modified May 24, 2007 12:24

An initiative of the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE)

What is the Colleague-to-Colleague Network?

Have you advised an individual with a disability who's planning for an international experience? Do you have a process in place for finding out about accessibility on your exchange programs? Has your office or organization found creative ways to budget for reasonable accommodations for an exchange participant with a disability? If so, share your experiences with the NCDE and become part of our Colleague-to-Colleague Network.

The Colleague-to-Colleague Network provides a way for exchange professionals who have had experience preparing for and including people with disabilities in their programs to mentor other professionals who are beginning that same journey. When you return the following questionnaire, we will enter it into our database. Then when we are contacted by an exchange professional that would like to talk with more experienced colleagues, we will put them in contact with you.

The Questionnaire

As international exchange professionals, we know that you are busy. We do, however, appreciate as much detail as you can provide in answering the questions. Information about specific actions taken and who was involved is particularly helpful.

We welcome your participation in this valuable network. Click here to join. If you know of other exchange coordinators who have experience including individuals with disabilities in their programs, please encourage them to join the Colleague-to-Colleague Network.
