In honor of the 15th anniversary of International Education Week, you’re invited to be an ambassador for international exchange! Reach out to others with disabilities who have not yet been abroad, and offer to share your experiences living and learning in another country.
Get the conversation started! Post one of our social media stickers to your Facebook wall to let your friends know that you’ve been abroad and can help answer any questions they may have. Sticker messages include “You can go abroad with a disability – I did!” and “Ask me about my international exchange.” Download the files as PDFs, or as JPEGs from our Flickr slideshow. Include the provided alternative text so that anyone can access your message, and use the tag #IEW2014 to get your message out to an even larger community.
By showing what’s possible, you can challenge others with disabilities to think about international exchange as a real option for them!
International Education Week starts November 17 and runs through the 21st. Learn more about International Education Week here.
