Reviewers Needed for Foreign Language and Blind Students Tutorial

by Michele Scheib last modified July 15, 2008 19:55 — expired

The National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE) is looking for reviewer(s) to comment on a draft tutorial "Accessing Foreign Language Materials by Blind and Visually Impaired Students."

Reviewers willing to share firsthand experiences in using assistive technology, software and alternative formats to access Arabic, Chinese, Farsi/Persian, Hindi/Urdu, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Turkish are particularly requested. The goal of the tutorial project is to increase access for blind students to take language courses such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian etc.

Feedback from reviewers will be gathered between July 21-August 11, 2008, as the NCDE hopes to publish the information as a free online tutorial in early fall.  Click here for more information on the project and how to be a reviewer.
