Roundtable Convenes to Bridge Disability & Exchange

Date:

Disability and international exchange leaders join together in Washington, DC to set new goals for increased inclusion in international exchange programs.

The purpose of the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exhange’s national advisory team, the Roundtable Consortium, is to bring together prominent international exchange and disability organizations. Together, their goal is to pave the way for people with disabilities to take full advantage of the cultural, volunteer, professional, and educational opportunities overseas, innovating solutions for increased access and inclusion.

Through annual meetings, which will take place this year on February 29, 2016, the partners stay updated on organizational activities and share new directions for future collaborative projects to bridge the disability and international exchange fields.

The National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange is a project of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, designed to increase the participation of people with disabilities in international exchange between the United States and other countries, and is supported in its implementation by Mobility International USA.
