Held every three years, Women Deliver hosts a global conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women. In 2019, it will host 5-minute Power Talks designed to inspire and inform.

It’s time to move beyond the concept of “inclusion” and embrace “infiltration” as the key to advancing the rights and leadership of women with disabilities. She promotes infiltration as a proactive, intentional, win-win strategy that organizations must adopt to ensure women with disabilities are full participants.

Abia Akram has been instrumental in leading the disability youth and women’s movement in Pakistan and in the Asia Pacific region. She reflects on her personal experiences living with a disability to make a potent case for international development to include more voices and leadership from women with disabilities.
