NAFSA International Educators Conference Exhibit and Session

NCDE will have a booth (#1116) during the four day conference, so stop by to ask questions about U.S. disabled students going abroad through your programs or international students with disabilities coming to the United States. We can provide advice, resources or referrals to find what you need.

Attendees can also attend our session "Thinking Ahead – Recruiting and Advising International Students with Disabilities" on Tuesday, May 27 from 2:30-3:45 pm. Our NCDE Manager and U.S. Department of State Program Manager will present alongside the Director of Disability Services at Dartmouth College and a blind international student currently studying in the United States. You will learn practical methods to outreach to and advise international students with disabilities on navigating new adaptive technologies, qualifying for medical services, providing documentation, and adapting to U.S. disability culture.

Also come to the International Education for Persons with Disabilities Special Interest Group meeting and the Work, Intern, Volunteer Abroad Poster Fair on Thursday, May 29 from 3-4:15 pm.
