The video highlights the leadership of disabled women activists in six countries and their innovative approaches to making gender-based violence services more inclusive during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project was a unique opportunity for women with disabilities to be recognized and respected as leaders in their communities.

Available in multiple formats and languages, this video includes international sign language and audio description, as well as versions in French, Mongolian, Portuguese, and Sinhalese. In addition, six local videos were created by our project partners in each country. All videos are available via MIUSA and our partners’ social media channels on December 3rd, 2021.

We invite you to join us in celebrating these leaders and we salute the contributions of disability rights change-makers everywhere who are working to create a more peaceful and just world.
